image for Another Blow For Celtic

Celtic's hopes of winning the Scottish Premier League title has been dealt another hammer blow with the news that star midfielder Beram Kayal will miss the run in after suffering a broken wrist on Wednesday night.

Hot on the heels of the disastrous defeat at the hands of Inverness Caley Thistle, the loss of the influential Israeli player could derail the Parkhead side's chances for good.

Although Kayal's injury occurred after a clash Inverness's Ross Tokely, club doctors advise that Kayal's wrist had been severely weakened by having to constantly carry the rest of the midfield since he came into the side in December 2010.

Because of the undue stress his body had to bear for over 4 months, it was only a matter of time before some part of it broke down completely.

A fracture specialist has prescribed "10 weeks of complete rest following which the patient should only carry out the functions of his job alongside colleagues with more ability than his team mates currently possess".

So that puts the kibosh on staying in Scotland.
