The much talked about Jabulani ball is to be replaced in the final officials have now confirmed at Soccer City, Johannesburg.

The ball which has caused much controversy will be replaced by a rugby ball on July 11th. The move comes after much discussion from players, coaches and even Harry Potter about the unpredictability of the Adidas wind catcher.

A source from Rugby make Gilbert has said it is delighted to be part of the World Cup, and hopes this kind of exposure will bring Rugby into the forefront of international sport.

Shortly after Argentina's 4-1 win over Korea, Lionel Messi approved the decision and said it should make for an excellent final.

'I am happy the decision has been made to replace the ball. It's been unfair on goalkeepers and players and if we get to the final, i'm sure we'll see a big difference in the way the game is played'

Adidas are apparently sticking by the Jabulani ball, they have just signed a £1 million contract with the Scottish Premier League, who hope the new ball will add more excitement to the game up north.
