England's Frederica Flintoff celebrates victory

There was chaos at the Alternative T20 Cricket World Cup today as the English Transgender Cricket Squad literally started batting for the other team.

The England team were due to play Australia in the opening match but the Australians refused to come out so the English players decided to play with themselves to keep the fans entertained.

England bowled themselves out for a record low score of 36 in just 8 overs. In reply England managed to score just 8 runs for the loss of 3 wickets before heavy rain forced play to be abandoned for the day. The Duckworth Lewis method was bought into play to decide the outcome and England were controversially declared the winners so knocking England out of the first round.

As the defeated English players boarded the plane home the victorious England team were looking forward to playing New Zealand in the next round.

The Kiwis also controversially won their first round match against an irate South African team who are set to appeal against their defeat. They were not happy with the antics of the opening New Zealand batsman who scored 120 not out, accusing him of swinging both ways and also accused the New Zealand bowlers of blatant ball tampering throughout the innings.

Make Bill Licks's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
