image for Burnley FC Get Changing Rooms Team In
Burnley Pictured Yesterday.

After being told that their facilities don't meet Premiership standards, Premiership new boys Burnley FC are to call in the BBC Changing Rooms team, in a bid to get the work done on the cheap.

"We're just a small town club," a Burnley Official told us. "There are only 70 thousand people that live in the town, and the fact that we're within an hour's drive of about 8 million people is irrelevant. We need two new stands at Turf Moor and we're not a rich club. If the Changing Rooms team can do the job for nowt, we'll be quids in and we'll get some good free publicity out of it too."

Local builder Terry Breakfast told us:

"It's disappointing that the club are getting the BBC in to do the work. It's a big job, upgrading dressing rooms and press facilities, and two new stands on top of it all. It would have kept me in work for two or three years. Still, I can understand where they're coming from. It's a small club in a small town..."

More small club related jiggery pokery when we get it.
