image for Manchester City attempting to buy Manny Pacquiao

Manchester City, desperate to purchase sporting superstars with the money of their owner, the oil tycoon Sheikh Mansour Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has made a number of enquiries about signing boxer Manny Pacquiao.

It is unknown at this time whether Pacquiao, who knocked out Manchester City fan Ricky Hatton in Las Vegas, has even kicked a football, let alone has skills required to play Premiership football.

However, regardless of this, it appears that Manchester City is extremely keen to sign the Filipino as part of what is expected to be a summer of significant signing activity. Names already believed to be targets by the club are;

Cristiano Ronaldo
Messi
Eminem
Claudia Winkelman
Thierry Henry
Pele
Bobby Charlton
Miley Cyrus
Bill Gates
Frederico Macheda
