image for Tiger Woods' Secret Reverse-Lasik Surgery Revealed

Orlando- Five days after successful knee surgery, golfing champion Tiger Woods underwent reverse-Lasik surgery at an Orlando clinic and is said to be in pretty-good condition. "While his knee recovers, Tiger thought this would be a perfect time to undo the Lasik," said Dr. Isaac Myopia in a blurry videotaped interview from his Lake Buena Vista hotel room. "Within minutes of the surgery, Woods' vision went from 20/20 to 10/50," the doctor added.

"Although his vision was basically perfect after having Lasik in 1999, Tiger missed the way he looked in glasses and wanted this done before summer," said Dr. Myopia.

Reverse-Lasik surgery is becoming a popular alternative to looking good, with 43 1/2 procedures having been performed in 2007. "Most of my patients are women in their mid-30's, who are sick and tired of being given special treatment after they first trash their glasses," added Dr. Myopia.

Still, some in the sporting world wonder if Woods wasn't being pressured by Nike, who plans on introducing the "Blind Tiger" line of prescription eyewear in June.

After hearing the news of the surgery, executives at TLC Lasik Centers immediately terminated Woods' $20,000 yearly advertising contract. Radio stations nationwide scrambled to pull his 30 second spots.

Woods is expected to return to action May 29 at the Morgan Stanley Memorial Tournament in Columbus, Ohio.
