image for Miami Dolphins Continue Dallas Connection WIth New Coach
The Dolphins have a new sheriff in town.

First, they hired former Dallas Cowboy coach Bill Parcells. He hired Jeff Ireland away from Da Boys to be the General Manager. Ireland then hired former Cowboy Assistant David Lee as the quarterbacks coach and Brian Gaine as Assistant Director of Player Personnel.

Now, Parcells has gone back to the well that is Dallas one more time to find a new head coach. In a press conference today, he named Tom Landry as the new field general for the Miami Dolphins. Landry won two Super Bowls with the Cowboys after leading them to the championship game on five occasions.

When it was pointed out to Parcells that Landry was dead, and had passed away in 2000, he siad that this was not important. "Look at what Joe Paterno has done for Penn State the last few years. Who outside of that program knows that he died in 1999? These old, dead guys really know how to motivate and understand the basics of blocking and tackling."

In a related story, Parcells announced the addition of Roger Staubach, Ed "Too Tall" Jones, and Emmitt Smith to the Miami Dolphins Ring of Honor.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
