image for Cristiano Ronaldo Banned From Dribbling
Ey! Stop that!

Cristiano Ronaldo, the Manchester United striker, has received a ten-match ban from dribbling, to take effect immediately, the FA has announced.

The Portuguese striker, who got Wayne Rooney sent off during England's World Cup match with Portugal in Germany, has taunted and teased defenders the length and breadth of the country with his 'magic feet', but has now fallen foul of football's governing body.

A spokesman for the FA told The Spoof:

"He's just too damned tricky! He's gone too far now though. We believe he's taking the piss. It has to stop."

It's thought the surprise move has come about after it was revealed by the star himself, that one of the FC Roma players 'begged' Ronaldo to stop dribbling during United's 7-1 romp in last season's Champion's League match at Old Trafford.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson said:

"The lad's always dribbling. In training, we have him wearing a bib!"
