In a dramatic change of policy today, the English F.A. has appointed tv personality Noel Edmunds to the role of transfer co-ordinator.

This position has been created to specifically deal with the cash crisis in the English game wherby a clique of wealthy premiership clubs can afford transfer fees whilst others are going into administration due to the presure to compete for top players.

Bob Bobson an FA spokesperson stated that "Clubs cannot afford to buy news players so we are creating a player exchange facilty so that for example three defenders could be exchanged for a leading center forward"

At a press conference today at the FA headquarters in London, bubbly bearded bafoon Edmunds was heard to say

" I am overjoyed to re-start swap shop for the FA, and who is the first caller on line one ... Claudio from London, and you want to swap a job lot of under utlised over paid players for a chance at the title. We will put that one on our board."
