image for "I Thought I Was Dead!" (Malcolm Smith MVP Award Interrupted By Nut!)

A man suddenly jumped onto the podium during Super Bowl MVP Malcolm Smith's postgame news conference, grabbed the microphone and said the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks were "perpetrated by people with your own government."

"I was totally surprised by what happened", stated Smith. "I first thought it was a part of the video for the MVP Award and suddenly he starts all this wild jibber jabber and I know he's a nut."

While the guy enjoys his Award and his team works hard to even get to the Super Bowl, the MVP was shook up worse than at any game during the year.

"I actually thought, 'I'm a dead man' because he is obviously dangerous. The greatest moment in my life and dying immediately after. I think the whole camera crew were shook up!"

It turned out to be nothing. But how the guy even got close to the interview, no one in security could say.

"There were too many to watch while they were celebrating", stated one of the snipers. "I saw the man but through the scope I didn't see a weapon plus he was right there with the Seattle players."
