DENVER - The Broncos fans at Sports Authority Field at Mile High Stadium were literally floating on air when the final gun sounded and their team had soundly trounced the Philadelphia Eagles 52-20.
The 52 points broke a single game franchise record for points that had existed for half a century (50 years).
The fans were so excited that reports are that the sale of orange Ford Broncos increased by 600 percent after the game.
Cuthbert Cumberland general manager of The Rocky Mountain High Ford Bronco dealership in Denver said that he usually sells two or three orange Ford Broncos on a daily basis but after the Broncos increased their record to 4-0, he sold twelve.
Dottie Bazooka with Sports Balls Illustrated Daily reported that since Colorado voted to decriminalize marijuana she detected a definite pot fragrance in the air.
But she was quick to add that the happiness of the fans was primarily due to the fantastic Broncos victory and of course the weed matter was secondary.
SIDENOTE: Peyton Manning threw 4 touchdown passes. After the game he told the television announcers that there is no truth to the rumor that he plans to run for mayor of Denver.
