image for Super Bowl News: President Obama Bets On The Baltimore Ravens
President Obama and Vice-President Biden will be watching the Super Bowl in The White House's Roger Staubach Sports Room.

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Las Vegas oddsmakers have the San Francisco 49ers as 3½ point favorites over the Baltimore Ravens in Super Bowl XLVII (47).

Sports Balls Illustrated Daily is reporting that more money will be bet on this year's Super Bowl than in any previous Super Bowl.

Rufus Reno with SBID stated that people seem to have a little more money than they did last year and others just feel that betting on the Big Game gives them better odds than buying scratch off lottery tickets.

Reno reports that he recently spoke with President Obama in the Oval Office and the two discussed the upcoming game.

President Obama asked Reno who he was picking to win. The reporter stated that he has made it a point to stay impartial.

He said that it goes back to Super Bowl XXV in 1991, when he picked the Buffalo Bills and they ended up losing to the New York Giants 20-19.

Reno said that he received all kinds of emails and phone calls from irate sports bettors saying that they had bet on the Bills simply because they figured that since he was one of the nation's top sports reporters that he may have had some kind of inside scoop.

He asked the president if he was favoring the 49ers or the Ravens. The president put down his glass of Diet Dr. Pepper and replied that he is going for the Ravens.

The president then added that he has even made a bet on the game.

Reno was surprised, to say the least.

"Mr. President, if I may ask, what's the bet sir?"

The president smiled as he leaned forward in his chair.

"Well, I bet Joey Biden a hamburger, fries, and a vanilla milk shake that the Ravens will beat the Niners."

President Biden went on to say Joey took the bet because he said that he'd talked to Hercules Confetti with Sporting Chance Magazine and he pretty much assured him that San Francisco will win by 10 points."

SIDENOTE: Michelle Obama meanwhile says she doesn't care if the Ravens or the 49ers win because she's just thrilled that the whining New England Patriots aren't playing.
