LOS ANGELES - The word out of Tinsel Town is that Lakers owner Jerry Buss has been in contact with ex-Laker Shaquille O'Neal about the possibility of returning to his former team.
Buss is livid at the 20-26 record that his team currently possesses and he has said that something has to happen and happen quick.
The Lakers owner has said that he plans on replacing Coach Mike D'Antoni with former Laker coach Phil Jackson in hopes of lighting a fire under the (posteriors) of his lackadaisical Lakers.
Buss told Rufus Reno with Sports Balls Illustrated Daily that if his team keeps on losing that he is going to start issuing fines to his players.
He was asked if that included his super star player-coach Kobe Bryant.
The Laker's owner took a bite out of his hot dog and a sip from his Coke Zero and replied that everyone on the team will be subject to get fined.
He stressed the fact that even the Laker Girls could end up getting fined if he sees that they are not putting their heart and soul into their cheering routines.
Buss reportedly told O'Neal that if he returns to his old team that he will pay him exactly what he is paying Kobe Bryant, which is $27.8 million per year.
