London, England-- Prime Minister David Cameron wants the world to know that the empty Olympic seats really aren't empty. The Olympic Committee decided months ago to have about 50% of the seats set aside for 'ghosts, spirits, goblins, and whatever crawls out of the woodwork'.
"Looks can be deceiving." said the Prime Minister. "It you look very closely you can see the ghosts sitting there. They like a good show too, every now and then!" he stated.
The PM then went over to some empty seats and shook hands with the ghosts of John Lennon and George Harrison.
"Sir Paul did a terrific job, don't you think??" he said.
Even the seating for the dignitaries was almost half empty, but the Prime Minister wasn't concerned:
"I just spoke with King Henry VIII and Princess Diana. They were watching the women's volleyball game. I invited them both over for tea after the game." he said.
