QPR have flown all of their fans to the Algarve for a week's holiday as they seek to make the most of a two-week break in fixtures.

With no match this saturday, the club are using the opportunity to give 15,000 exhausted supporters a mid-season break as they prepare for the remaining 13 games of the Premier League campaign.

Owing to the recent freezing conditions, QPR fans spent most of last month shivering in a cardboard box on Shepherd's Bush Green after remortgaging their houses and spending all their cash watching the defeats against their relegation rivals.

Manager Mark Hughes told Sky Sports HD that he will use the intensive sessions in Portugal to assess the group to see whether their ambition matches his own.

"Our new fans need to integrate quickly with the old fans in order for the project to succeed.

"It will give us the opportunity to have a couple of psychotherapy treatments a day and have a real understanding of what type of split personalities we are dealing with and how they cope with pressure situations" said Sparky.

The trip to Alcantarilha in southern Portugal will also see the new African fans team up with their fellow West London fans for the first time.

Those new supporters from the Niger Delta will be flown in by private jet from Faro and will join the old supporters from Ruislip, Northolt and the White City Estate, who flew into Faro airport today.

Owner Tony Fernandes has said on Twitter that he has invested a lot of money bribing new fans to come on board the QPR project, and that if they cheer their team on to Premier League survival they will all be sent on a luxury Carribean cruise in the summer.
