thieves broke the window

Unpublished full frontal nude photographs of Katy Perry have been stolen from a car in Los Angeles.

The photographs, believed to have been taken very recently by Miss Perry's boyfriend, Russell Brand, are rumoured to be of an explicit nature.

Apparently the blow-up pictures were being closely guarded by a friend of one of Katy's producers on the MTV circuit. There were about 30 shots which had been printed-up into a portfolio intended only for private enjoyment.

These had been hidden underneath a blanket on the rear luggage area of a red Ferrari. The window had been broken and nothing else had been taken except for the portfolio. "This looks to us like the thief knew exactly what he was after", said a local officer.

Katy Perry has just been signed to host next week's MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin. Making her the first person in the event's history to be asked to front two bashes in a row - following her huge success in Liverpool last year.

Whether the photographs will become the subject of an attempted blackmail or sold for an enormous sum to a private buyer remains the next big question. And last night, Russell Brand was officially 'not available' for comment.

Fans are keeping a watchful eye on Ebay.
