The IRA were not involved in the attack on Fort Hood, Texas yesterday - despite their reputation for attacking army barracks.

A spokesman said "While we did attack UK Service military bases (thanks to the money we received from Americans via NORAID) we did not do this."

British military personnel have been attacked many times whilst in the UK by the IRA (funded by the Americans) and an attack on a UK base is always on high alert for attacks.

"It's quite ironic really" said one British soldier "For years the American's collected funds to send to terrorists to kill us - now we fight a war on terror together - yet we would have more soldiers if the American's stopped funding the IRA! Now they have been attacked let's hope they realize that all terrorists are our enemy and that an attack on an USA base, though tragically sad, we have been suffering attacks for years - thanks to money sent from the USA - it would be funny if it wasn't so ridiculous!"
