US Senator Al Franken hospitalized after peanut butter enema goes wrong!

Minneapolis - What started out as a fun-filled Saturday night, turned into a near tragedy, when a group of high-spirited friends stopped in at St. Clare's Colonic Parlor in Minneapolis for a quick purging enema.

It was editor Senator Al Franken's first adventure with the high pressure colonic unit and he was looking forward to the treatment procedure of having a 'heathy colonic' that was advertised....'To Wash Your Troubles Away!'

Inadvertently, the proprietor, Edward St.Clare, added a high dose of peanut butter to the anal mixture not knowing Mr. Franken has an extreme reaction to anything with peanuts in them!

Within minutes of the initial evacuation, Franken turned blue and began to quiver uncontrollably! An addition dose worsened his condition and emergency providers were called to tend to the rather poor-feeling Senator.

Senator Franken is resting comfortably and is expected to recover after surgeons transplanted a new rectum donated by fellow Senator, Harry Reid who claimed he didn't require one any longer.
