Cheney's Keepsake
(WASHINGTON) - The President may show off Saddam Hussein's gun to White House visitors, but that's nothing compared to what Vice President Cheney keeps in a glass case outside his office.
Frequent visitors to the West Wing revealed yesterday that the Machiavellian No. 2 man keeps a small trophy of the President in his waiting area. The plastic statuette, built to 1/12 scale, is reportedly one of Cheney's most prized keepsakes.
"He's so proud of that dang thing," says receptionist Jenny Walters. "Nobody sets foot in this office without hearing the whole story of how 'the real folks in charge' gave it to him after 'winning' the election."
