Cold hands, hard to get appointments and embarrassing trips to the OBGYN will soon be a thing of the past thanks to a micro camera that snugly fits to the tip of any erect penis.

Here's how it works:

A lover and/or doctor straps the tiny camera to the tip of the penis. The camera feeds live footage to a satellite which bounces the information directly to OBGYN. The footage is streamed to a secure intranet where doctors can get an in depth look at their patient.

The cameras are pending approval from the FDA with final word expected to be given sometime in the fall of 2011. Should the cameras be approved, device manufacturers plan on marketing these little private investigators anywhere from $50-$75 per camera which could partially be reimbursed through major insurers.

Although the cameras were intended for vaginal use, the manufacturer has said that the penis camera is also an excellent tool for checking tonsils and the colon.
