image for "New and More Secure" Playstation Network Gets Hacked Again, This Time by Accident

They said it was faster, stronger, and more secure. As Sony starts to slowly bring it's recently hacked Playstation Network back online, it seems it's been hacked again, this time allegedly by accident.

"I was just checking to see if the web browser function was working yet." says 35 year old gamer Ian LeClaire, the man indirectly responsible for the hack. "I wanted to look up info about the recent announcement of a Bin Laden raid level in Modern Warfare 3."

"The next thing I know a prompt came up on the screen asking if I would "like to play a game?". It's a Playstation so I confirmed "yes". Then it asked if I wanted to play chess, I hate chess so I told it no. Then it asked if I wanted to play Global Thermonuclear War."

"This all seemed somewhat familiar to me in a bad way, but I said yes anyway. The next thing I know random text scrolled on the screen. When I realized it was usernames, passwords, credit card numbers, and other personal information I immediately called Sony and told them about it."

When asked what Sony's reaction was, he replied, "They just laughed at me. The person on the phone told me it was a good joke and then hung up on me."

When we contacted Sony about Ian's experience they had this say: "We are confident there has not been another breach of PSN. However due to recent rumors, and that's all they are, rumors, we have decided to get the FBI, CIA, ATF, KGB, TNA, and WWE involved in an investigation as to whether or not a breach has been made. If we do find that PSN has been compromised we will let the affected parties know "ASAP" wink, wink, nudge, nudge."

In related news both Nintendo and Microsoft, Sony's two biggest competitors in the video game market have tweeted to PSN's twitter account the following tweet: "SUCK IT!!! HAHAHA O'DOYLE RULES!!"
