People who are overweight have a greater sense of smell for food, a study has found.
Researchers say their early findings may go towards explaining why some people struggle to stay slim.
The Slimming Group Weight Lifters has added their voice to the story. Secretary, Anita Ferbritain, says, "There are so many temptations for us Lardies. We had thought that the Gastric Band would be the last resort, but now it seems we'll have to have our nostrils sewn up as well."
Gok Wan has contributed by saying that he's disappointed as "... plus size women are worth £10bn to the fashion industry". Researchers counter this statement. "This seems to be a tiny percentage in comparison to what they're worth to the food industry".
Anita Ferbritain struggled for many years. She offers, "You know you're getting fat when you sit in your bathtub and the water in the toilet rises. I used to go to buffets and give away the fact that I'd overloaded my plate by singing with delight."
She adds sadly, "I recently split up with my husband; we both wanted different things. He wanted to travel the world and see the sights and I just wanted to be a fat keg."
Current advice from Weight Lifters to the spherically-challenged is simply to stop breathing.
