image for Some bloke reveals - Dinosaurs never existed
Simply a bunch of well arranged prehistoric crap.

In a shock and unprecedented outburst of absolute honesty, Gregory Hammer, chief historian at the Natural History Museum, London - Earth, admitted today that dinosaurs never existed and that all evidence suggesting so was merely fabricated by over eager palaeontologists.

According to Mr Hammers statement, back in 1973 when the art of palaeontology was originally invented, what were believed to be dinosaur fossils turned out to be nothing more than tree trunks and naturally occurring debris.

At the time, in order to save face and avoid any embarrassment, the first ever palaeontologist, Sir Digby Halfbottom, employed a number of jigsaw experts whom he instructed to create a believable creature skeleton from the unearthed petrified foliage.

It turned out that the most successful jigsaw 'palaeontologist' was Mrs Brenda Gump from Sittingbourne, Kent, who not only constructed the first ever Diplodocus skeleton from the remains of a prehistoric forest but she is also attributed to have founded the 'edges fist' method of jigsaw completion.

Over time, what we knew as the profession of palaeontology was in actual fact a group of scavenger hunters and jigsaw enthusiasts.

palaeontologist around the world have downed tools and breathed a sigh of relief, one was quoted as saying; "We are just relieved that the truth has come out, we were running out of pieces and to be honest all our dinosaurs were looking a little bit samey'.

Steven Spielberg is said to be devastated on hearing the news.
