Scientists in Washington DC have made a startling discovery this week while studying a group of grey squirrels at a local park.

The team from Georgetown University were conducting research on the mating habits of the squirrels after previous studies have found a large decline in the population due to infertility issues in male squirrels caused by pesticides and herbicides. The population in the area has dropped from 500 squirrels to 50 in just under a 5 year period.

A large male grey squirrel, nicknamed "Thumper" by the team appears to be the exception to the group. Thumper has mated with at least 20 different partners in the last two months. 10 of those have produced a litter and are healthy.

Jennifer Thomas, lead researcher has identified that "Thumper" loves to eat Banana peels from the garbage left by a frequent visitor to the park on their lunch brake. "natures viagra I guess" Jennifer laughed when asked about Thumpers daily dates.

The team is looking to continue their study and identify the effects of the peels on other squirrels. The hope is it will help bring the population backup to safe levels.

Make Jay Thomas's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
