image for Newly Released Prisoners Bear Hep C Instead of Job Skills!
The last Bush corrections official died quite a while ago

Since US prisons have abandoned education and job training programs for the 2.2 million plus inmates in the corrections system, when an inmate is released chances are Hep C is all he will bring back to his community.

Corrections experts estimate that 40% of the incarcerated population may be bearing a gift to beware when they re-enter the neighborhood. Experts say HepC will push the health system over the edge by multiple cases of the chronic, life-threatening, blood-borne infection.

"Think infected needles, jailhouse tatooing and piercing and think my tax dollars can't pay for education or job training or even disease testing..." mocked NIH/CDC epidemiologist Rich Frum-Yurtoxes.

TheSpoof.com's investigative reporters sought comments from Federal administrators of the Corrections System but apparently there are none.
