image for Microsoft Muddle

[Gates Land] - Windows Vista has hit the market, but Microsoft may hit the dirt. Apple has told it's consumers that current iPod devices and software will not be compatible with Vista for some time. Now that might not sound like a big deal, but it is. iPod sales have soared in the past quarter like a fat kids cholesterol while eating cake. Also 50% of sales for Apple were from first time customers. Now lets take a gander on what Microsoft had planned with Vista.

First off, upon purchasing Vista, a current PC owner would have to upgrade:

  1. Memory
  2. Graphics Card(s)
  3. Peripherals
  4. Salary
  5. Tech Skills

And let's not forget about the OS itself. Vista packs nearly as many bugs [if not more] as it's beta version [Longhorn]; plus if a consumer were to run Vista on their current rig [considering it was an extreme gaming CPU]: They would only be able to use approximately two programs at a time. Vista carries large file sizes for it's programs, so tough love for the Windows consumer.

On a lighter note Bill Gates is still excreting money from his bowls faster than it can grow on trees.
