Guangdong, China--An unexpected discovery of a 10,000 year-old fossil is revolutionizing theories of human and dinosaur evolution. The complete fossil was discovered in China, and it shows a mixture of both human and dinosaur traits. Archaeologists have christened the find Homosaurus rex.
Excited fossil hunters say Homosaurus Rex looks like a cross between an adult human and a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
"We call the fossil H. Rex for short." said lead archaeologist Jack Smack. "He was a real monster and probably ate human children and small animals like cats and dogs." said the scientist.
Dr. Smack says H. Rex stood about six feet tall and had an enormous head. The creature also had very wide hips and walked upright. It could catch its prey with its tiny vestigial arms.
"H. Rex was also very intelligent, and could speak. " said Dr. Smack. "It also had the most amazing human-like teeth in its massive jaws. It probably caught children by singing to them--and then quickly devouring them--it was a real nightmare." said Dr. Smack.
Scientist say the most unusual feature of H. Rex was its soft purple fur that made it look cuddly. Scientists also say that H. Rex might not be extinct.
"H. Rex has at least one living specimen left on Earth. It's called Barney the Dinosaur and it has its own television show. Stay away from it!" warned Dr. Smack.
