image for The iIain App Set to be Released in a Matter of Weeks
The iIain app will make you want to forget you own a pen.

Last August, I reviewed the iSpoof app and as a result it came to be the most popular app at The Spoof. This year, the makers of the iSpoof have developed the iIain.

G.T. Fox of All The Write Apps developed the iIain due to the increased popularity of writer, IainB, who happens to sit across the desk from me at the Science and Technology Department at The Spoof.

When Fox told me about the app, I was skeptical. The iIain, according to Fox, will allow a writer who is actively employed at The Spoof to access Iain's wit and craftsmanship at the touch of a button. It's said to be so user friendly that Clive Danton could use it to write an App story.

"It's the next best thing to a mind meld or cloning him," says Fox. It's true, too. I downloaded it several weeks ago, and while I've not published anything yet, I am now able to write all these stories with ease and really tap into the sense of humor that makes Iain Iain. I no longer have to think, "I wish I'd thought of it!"

The iIain will think of an idea for an App story based on random images you see throughout the day. All you have to do is scan an image of something, and the app will do the rest. It will think of the appropriate hook and will continue to write the story with ease. Additionally, it will add the appropriate tags, picture and caption.

There are some complications that Spoof writers need to be aware of before using the app. There is a chance that you could accidently access the iAn. The iAn hooks you up with women named Ann, which would be embarrassing if you're a writer named Ann and all you wanted was to generate a random App story.

When Iain was asked his opinion of having an app named for him, he was thrilled. "I think it's quite possibly the most important app for a writer to have. I wish the iIain had been available when I was a cub reporter. So much time could have been saved."

The iIain will be available for the iPhone as well as Android for the general writing population in a matter of weeks.

Make Ellie James's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
