A new London-based company, InnerTech, is giving people a whole new view of themselves with GutCam.
GutCam is a tiny camera inside a transparent pod the size of a baked bean, which the customer swallows. The camera then films the pod's voyage over the next twenty-four hours as it makes its way through the customer's digestive system. After the pod comes out the other end, the customer is presented with a DVD that contains an edited two hour video of the journey.
Gus Rismore, a 460 pound farm-worker, flew in from Nevada to create his own video, which he hopes will impress his fiancee, Jenny, and washed his GutCam down with 8 lagers and a curry.
"I've kept it a secret from Jenny," said Rismore. "She thinks I'm over here on a business trip. I'm going to bring her round my house for a romantic night in front of the TV and surprise her with the GutCam video. It sure looked unclean inside my intestines, but I'm hoping Jenny will be impressed."
