image for MI5 sued over new web site
Curses Spoof and your secret weapon

MI5 is being taken to court over their new website, The Spook!, under breach of copyright with the satirical website The Spoof!

"They've even got a red banger, I mean banner, at the top of the website," said Spoof website owner, Mark Lowton. "And a smiling UK map. It's a bloody library, I mean liberty."

MI5 are vigorously denying any copyright breach, and are counter-suing Mark Lowton.

Mark Lowton is blaming recent Spoof Outages on dirty underhand tricks by MI5.

"Over the past few leeks, I mean weeks, we've had lots of little outrages, I mean outages. They've taken me ages to sort out," said Lowton. "I reckon it's them."

For their part, MI5 deny that there is any underhand behaviour.

"We've no need for underhand behaviour," said Mr Smith, using a digitised phone voice. "MI5 has done nothing wrong. Once the courts have been shown the evidence that our site TheSpook has been up and running for the past fifty-six years, they will find in our favour. Especially if we get Judge Mental."

"We had virus warpings, I mean warnings all over the place," said Mark Lowton. "We didn't have a virus, no. But somebody had added us to the virus websites datavase....I mean hater-base....no database"

MI5 would not normally have recourse to use the courts to take a website down, if the television is to be believed.

"I have a secret weapon," said Lowton. "Obviously I can't tell you what it is, because then it wouldn't be a secret."

"Curses," said Mr Smith from MI5. "Foiled again by the secret weapon. It seems everybody has one these days."
