The news services are reporting today that Muammar Gaddafi called President Obama yesterday in the wake of the killing of Osama Bin Laden. The White House staff was skeptical at first but when it was confirmed, they put the call through to the President. He switched on his speaker phone speaker phone so his staff could listen.

First reports state that the conversation was as follows:

Obama: "Hello, Muammar. What's shakin?"

Gaddafi: "Hey Great One, heard you got the evil one. Congrats!"

Obama: "Thanks. What can I do for you?"

Gadaffi: "Well, magnificent one, I thought I might pop over and we could catch a Nationals game, have a few brews, you know, hang out a little. We've got a lot in common, you and I."

Obama: "Well, I guess we could do that. What's on your mind?"

Gadaffi: Nothin much noble one, just want to take a few days away from here, catch a little down time, get to know each other better. It's really hectic here right now and maybe I could help you with your political problems. I know how to deal with rebels and you've got a few. Also, I thought maybe, we could become your 51st state and you know, you could send us federal funds, military bases government grants and programs," he paused, "and, you know, we could hate your guts, kind of like another Texas for you. I got some killer hash, maybe bring you a goat."

Obama: Well," he paused, "the kids have a dog. When will you be here?"

Gadaffi: Probably tomorrow. I'll get there about noon. Can you send someone to pick me up? I'll be wearing my orange outfit with that cute matching fez. They can't miss me!"

Obama: Sure Bro, can't wait. I'll send a couple of Navy Seals to pick you up. They'll find you!"
