image for Spoof writer, Nick Hobbs, tries to go all 'posh' on us by faking an accident whilst drumming Nick, trying out a new drum...

One of our colleagues has, apparently, turned his back on the 'commoners' amongst us and is trying to 'get in' with the posh crowd.

Nick Hobbs, featured writer on December 11th, in his Congratulations thread, which incidentally, he started himself in case no one else would. . .is claiming to have had an accident.

A source told The Spoof today that, in an effort to cross over to the "other side" to mix in 'better circles' Nick faked a broken finger, his pinkie, his baby finger, saying he had broken it whilst hitting it on the side of his snare drum. (Right! Who's going to believe THAT?)

This was his pathetic excuse for having his finger 'broken and re-set' by his family doctor - to stay 'forever' in the sticky-out position wich is a familiar sight in 'posh' circles when posh folk are sipping beverages, whether it be a glass of water or a glass of champagne.

Sad to say, his little ploy will probably not work. Time will tell. This pathetic attempt at being accepted by posh people will probably backfire on Nick when he goes down to his 'local' and lifts up his beer. His drinking buddies will probably be 'extraction the urine' for months to come....if not years.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
