image for Barack Brings Out Campaign Song The Obama Alabama Six

Today Senator Barack Obama wrote new words to the Brecht/Weill composition 'The Alabama Song', previously performed by such artistes as The Doors and David Bowie, and here they are:

Oh show me, the way to
The next white boy bar
Oh, don't ask why, no don't ask why
For, if ,we also go, to a black men's bar
I tell you we get votes, I tell you we get votes
I tell you, I tell you, I tell you we get both votes

Oh moon, of Barack Obama
We now, must say goodbye
We've lost, our pigment color
Man must have white skin or you know why

Oh moon, of Barack Obama
We now, must say goodbye,
We've gained our blackness color
Man can also have black skin if it gets votes high

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
