image for Barack Obama - Questions and Answers with Presidential Candidates Barack Obama

Every week, we will interview presidential candidates and offer insight into their campaign and their beliefs.

This week's candidate: Senator Barack Obama (D-IL)

Spoof Magazine: What made you decide to run for president?

Barack Obama: Being a Senator is too boring. As you can tell by my lack of a voting record, I'm hardly ever there. Most of them are old farts. Senator Clinton is a spring chicken there and she's 60 years old.

SM: What makes you stand out from the other candidates?

BO: The most obvious difference is my Harvard education. The others ain't got no Ivy League education. To a lesser extent, I would say that the color of my skin makes me different.

SM: What would you do differently than George W. Bush?

BO: I have already done things differently. One difference is my wife is hip. She's cooler than Laura Bush. I might ask Cheney to be my vice president as assassination insurance.

SM: What would you do if Hillary Clinton or John McCain were elected President?

BO: I would start campaigning for 2012 as soon as I lose. There's no way in Hell I am going back to the Senate and listen to those old geezers give boring-assed speeches all day.

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
