image for GORE HEADING TO CHAD TO MEDIATE ELECTION RESULT DISPUTE Al Gore,Jr.

NASHVILLE, Tennessee - At a press conference today, Al Gore, Jr.made the following statement:

"As a result of the current election dispute, I feel it is my duty to offer what assistance I can to this country in their time of crisis. You are all aware of the problem I had with chads during my run for the Presidency in 2000. I went to the Supreme Court to try to resolve the chad problem. I hope to persuade the respective parties to try and resolve their dispute amicably through the courts rather than through violence. I will be leaving for Chad first thing…"

"Excuse me, Mr.Gore but why are you going to the Central African country of Chad, when, the problem is in the East African country of Kenya?"

"Well…ah…mmm…right…oh yes, my frequent travel air miles only allow me to travel to Chad, I guess I'll have to get a puddle jumper from there to Kenya…"

"But Chad is landlocked…"

"…I'm sure there are lakes I'll be crossing --you'll have to excuse me --I have to run, since, Tipper is still packing my dashiki and # 30 sun lotion -- thank you all."

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
