image for Observations on the Coalition Government - in rhyme If only Guy Fawkes had had access to dynamite or gelignite?

This ode about MPs might just make you affright,

In fiddling, lying, and nepotism they delight,

MPs consume Caviar and not toast and Marmite,

Their cons and excuses for fiddling are so erudite,

They vary in loyalties and actions, from Thatcherite,

Communist, Tree-huggers, Luddite's, and the odd Jacobite,

Even the odd honest one, playwright or transvestite,

They steal and fiddle, then sell their story in copyright,

They consider the voter, to be a necessary parasite,

Their offshore accounts and investments growing alright,

Holidays week it seems, or at least every fortnight,

Ministerial cock-ups reported, causing some disquiet,

But they still supply a pension for the guilty sybarite,

When the riots in the UK, were at their height,

The PM on holiday, his deputy in mid-flight,

The Police they had cut back on, in the middle of the fight,

Looting, rioting, hundreds of Police stations set alight,

Will they increase VAT again, cut back on dole, they might,

First they have to destroy the NHS, and pensioners, the Tory blight,

It all might have been different, if Mr Fawkes had had gelignite,

Not relying on Gunpowder, if only he had dynamite,

Things might have been different now, I might not have so much spite!

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
