Hollywood, CA-- The Blessed Virgin Mary (BVM) will kick up her heels and be a guest contestant on the next season of 'Dancing With The Stars' (DWTS). A spokesperson for the show said the BVM will descend from Heaven before each episode in a cloud of blue smoke.
This will be the second television appearance for the Virgin. She was also was a contestant on 'Jeopardy' in 1977, but came in second place to Buddha.
Producers for DWTS say the BVM is quite a dancer.
"She's been around for awhile." said producer Maria Angelus. "She dances everything from the minuet to disco. It should be a fun show."
Producers will team the BVM with Chaz Bono, the transsexual child of Cher.
"Chaz and the BVM could become an item; there seems to be a lot of chemistry between them. In any case, it should be very surreal." said Ms. Angelus.
The producers of the show hope to attract many more Roman Catholics to the show this season, and increase their ratings share. There greatest hope is to sign the BVM's son for the 2012 season.
"We don't know if Jesus can dance, but it would be fun to find out!" said Ms. Angelus.
