LONDON - There is no denying that the late Amy Winehouse was a talented singer who lived on the edge and who knew the consequences of her actions.

And even though no one can deny that there were certainly demons that sometimes lurked within her, the 27-year-old singer also had a different side to her. She actually possessed a sense of humor that not many people, even some of her most devoted fans knew about.

Loretta Piffinshaw of London's Ta Ta For Now News interviewed Ms. Winehouse on several occasions and she saw the side of her that one can best describe as being the happy-go-lucky Amy.

Piffinshaw told of how when she first met Winehouse she had just gotten her latest tattoo. The reporter told her that she knew that it was a Chinese symbol which appeared to look pretty much like the tic tac toe symbol.

Amy laughed as she told Loretta that the tattoo was in fact the tic tac toe symbol and she had gotten it because growing up as a little girl in Southgate, London it was her favorite children's game.

She then said that when the tattoo artist was putting the tattoo on her she suddenly started sneezing for some reason and the tic tac toe symbol came out looking a little bit more like some kind of Chinese symbol.

Winehouse also liked to joke about her beehive hairdo. She said that she loved the fact that it made her look like a country music female singer from the 60s.

She even said that she had received letters from Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, and Jeannie C. Riley saying how fantastic her hairdo looked.

But one of the lesser known facts about Winehouse was that she was a big fan of The Monty Python's Flying Circus and Eric Idle in particular.

Piffinshaw noted that Amy had told her that she had actually memorized all of the lines that Eric Idle had spoken in each one of the shows 46 episodes which originally ran on the BBC from 1969 thorough 1974.
