Lilly's dress looked a bit like this

Lily Allen and her older sister Sarah have reportedly been involved in a disaster involving two giant tents. One of the Tents was a pretty petrol blue colour, and the other was red with colourful sparkles.

It had previously been rumoured that the pair had worn these tents deliberately for the launch of their fashion chain Lucy in Disguise. But, sadly, we have to report that that is not the case, and people who suggest that it is, are just being cruel.

The truth is that Lily and her sister went to visit a tent shop just 10 minutes before the launch of the fashion chain to see if they could find something to camp out in at Glastonbury. But they only been in the shop for 5 minutes when disaster struck.

After being shown to the prettiest, most fashionable tents in the place, Lily is believed to have tripped over a tent peg and fallen into a red sparkly tent. Her sister went to see if she could help get Lily out, but she tripped over a different tent peg and ended up in a petrol blue tent.

After a two minute struggle to get the fashion sisters out of the giant tents, the shop owner offered to phone the fire brigade who have loads of experience at dragging people out of similar terrible catastrophes. But Lily is believed to have shouted. "No. That'll take hours. We've got a fashion launch to go to"

So she stood up in her tent, made some leg holes and arm holes and said "Lets make a fashion statement out of this fashion disaster. Lets go to the launch as if we really did mean to wear these tents"

So off they went to the party, and everything went amazingly well. The fashion magazines hailed her fashion launch a fantastic success. She appeared on all the front pages of Ireland's morning Newspapers, and she even won an award for the best dressed shop owner in town.

Lily's fashion disaster wasn't just a triumph for herself, however. It proved to be a fashion success for the tent shop man across the road, as well.

By 10am this morning he had sold all his tents. Everyone in Dublin, it seemed, wants to look like Lily Allen, even when she's fallen in a gigantic tent, and can't get out. Such is the fashion genius of Lily.

Lily wasn't available to comment on this story because I was too scared to ask for her opinion. Anyone who tells her my top secret Twitter account name is going to be ejected from my Christmas list...forever.
