image for Photos of Bin Laden late entry for Turner Prize
Tate of Emergency

In a startling development the Turner Prize Committee have announced that a collage of photographs of the dead Osama Bin Laden have been accepted as a late entry for this year's competition.

Penelope Puce, speaking on behalf of the Committee, explained that the photographs had come from an unknown sauce close to the American President. This sauce also offered the Committee a stained pair of trousers as another entry but Puce said 'they sucked' and were not accepted.

Of the Bin Laden RIP collage Puce was ecstatic: 'They present a sublime pathos reminiscent of the artistic greats of the past' she dribbled 'their picturesque setting gives the eye and the heart pulsating rhythms of discord in an enigmatic way.' Fellow Committee member, Prof Ed Strickneen wanted to underline the educational value of the photos : 'They will teach naughty children what happens if you upset Big Daddy' he announced.

The Police are worried and have declared a 'Tate of Emergency' fearing the Tate Gallery, where the photos will be shown, will become a target for those same naughty children who Strickneen wants to admonish.

President Obama has pleaded with David Cameron to stop the show: 'Those photos could do untold damage to America' he advised 'they are out of focus.'
