image for Huckabee Doesn't Heart The Oscars

Potential 2012 Presidential candidate Mick Huckabee has criticised Oscar winner Natalie Portman for glamourising single motherhood, saying that the Black Swan star was misleading the American public about the difficulties of having children outside marriage.

The Republican politician also too a pot shot at the makers of Toy Story 3 for demonising the children of the U.S by their portrayal of the Sunnyside Daycare Centre as a place where children mistreat their toys.

The company behind the remake of the John Wayne classic True Grit also felt the weight of Huckabee's wrath.

The former Arkansas governor claimed that the leading character Rooster Coburn , a hard drinking U.S. Marshal, was "an insult to all police officers" and suggested that the killer in the film, Chaney, was a "cynical attempt to smear the former U.S vice President of the same name and in the process undermine the Republican party as a whole".

As for Danny Boyle's 127 Hours, while Huckabee welcomed the fact that the subject represented a triumph of the human spirit over adversity, he postulated that individual sports such as mountain climbing posed "a direct threat to the American principle of family values and mutual support".

According to Huckabee, "there are sinister forces at work".
