image for Bear Grylls Has It Easy Says Cameraman
Some Jungle Pictured Earlier

Top TV cameraman, Ford Focus has caused much controversy in Televisionland by telling the world on You Tube that survivalist Bear Grylls is a bit of a fraud.

Viewers have marvelled at Bear's survival skills, which have seen him climbing over mountains, hacking his way through jungles, swimming up whitewater rivers, dangling off vines, and eating grubs, shrimp, wildfowl and snakes - usually raw. As in uncooked.

Focus admits that Bear's performances on his TV shows are quite impressive, as he can be seen jumping out of helicopters and parachuting into distinctly hostile terrain. But he argues that the job is even more challenging for the cameraman, who has to pretty much do all the same things, while he's lugging a big camera about and filming.

"It just doesn't seem right," Focus said. "The cameraman has to go through everything that Bear does and film it all. Now that takes a lot of skill. If you ask me, the cameraman should be the star of the show, and pass the camera to Bear."

Bear Grylls was not available for comment. Neither was George Foreman who is quite rightly famous for a grill, but one of a different type.

Bear Grylls is the youngest Briton to reach the summit of Mount Everest. On that occasion, his cameraman was said to be "absolutely knackered."

Make Reddon's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
