VMA Awards Show after-parties were taking place at various venues throughout Los Angeles, but by far the most popular featured a roast of Lady Gaga.
"We had gotten wind of her meat dress from Katy Perry a few hours before the awards show," said Comedian Jamie Foxx, "and after a few hits off the bong, we came up with the idea of the roast. Made perfect sense at the time," he added wistfully.
Foxx made arrangements to have his limo pick up Gaga after the show and whisk her off to the roast. "We had the grill all fired up. The wood chips were just right. Man, we had one of the best pit bosses in the country standing ready to throw that meat on the grill. We was salivating all over the place."
As Gaga entered the front door of the upscale BBQ Palace Restaurant in West Hollywood she had no idea that the main course consisted of her dress. She just never made the connection even as guests greeted her with "man, Gaga, you're looking especially juicy this evening," and "well done, Gaga."
It was when a couple of the pit master's aides decided to lift Gaga up and place her over the coals that things went south. "Hey," said Lady Gaga, "what gives? I thought I was here for dinner."
"You are," they said, "you are."
