Davy Crocket caught on camera without his coon-skin hat

People all over the world are tonight mourning the death of Octogenarian actor 'what's-his-name' who played the popular Davy Crocket for many years.

He was recognized by his trademark, coon-skin hat. A dead racoon whose tail had been chopped off and added to the coon-skin hat. Very fashionable in those early days of television...but...would it be politically correct today to wear the skin of a dead animal on your head? I think NOT.

No doubt we will be faced with Davy Crocket re-runs and Davy Crocket Marathons on t.v. for the next few weeks.

People, for example Wild blinking Dan, from a fansite I used to belong to until I was banned - after actually resigning - he'll probably, as I type, be dressing in his best black cowboy outfit (we only ever saw his avatar in silhouette anyway on the site - maybe it's still the same. I don't know coz I am banned).

He'll be writing about it on site, no doubt. He'll probably take the 3 days off work for 'bereavement leave' and most likely will be 'heading on down the trail to the funeral'.

Hang on a minute - Davy Crocket wasn't a cowboy was he?

Disregard most of the above.

Get your popcorn ready and your coon-skin hats if you have one.

If you don't have a coon-skin hat, I am sure Wal-Mart will be rolling back the prices on coon-skin hats as I type.

Make Lady Godiva's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
