image for Paraplegic Actor Walks Again
This is not Sam Worthington

Paraplegic actor, Sam Worthington, has miraculously regained the use of his legs following a visit to a specialist acupuncture clinic in Prestatyn, North Wales.

The star, who features in the multi-award winning film, Avatar (where he is typecast as another paraplegic) was seen apparently walking, unaided, at an awards bash in Tyneside.

Worthington, who has given hope to millions of paraplegic actors by bravely overcoming his disabilities, would not confirm or deny his visit to Prestatyn or whether this had any bearing on his walking abilities.

His agent strongly denies that Worthington had faked his disability to take advantage of the parking spaces at his local Tesco in Hollywood saying, "That's just ludicrous, Sam has always shopped at Morrisons".

In the film, Avatar, Sam Worthington plays (ironically) a man who regains the use of his legs by lying under a tree. Dr Synapses, Chief Neurological Specialist from the University of Rhyl was not happy about the way the film gives false hope to disabled persons. In a statement to the media he said, "The movie [avatar] has misled thousands of paraplegics. In the Rhyl area, last week alone, there were fifty four calls to emergency services to remove paraplegics stuck under trees. None of them regained the use of their legs so this method is clearly only suitable for certain types of disabilities".

Make Carl LaFong's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
