The State of California has announced plans to install parking meters beside the beds of several Hollywood movie and entertainment starlets. The Department of Transportation has been instructed to install the machines beside the beds of Paris Hilton, the Olsen Twins, the Kardashian sisters, Britney Spears, and several other local tarts.
"We've made sure to install the machines that take coins, bills, and credit cards," said D.O.T. spokesman Roger Wheelhouse. "We've even got the machines set to charge for weekend, overnight, and holiday rates.
"Boyfriends who are looking for a quickie but see it going longer will need to remember to bring extra money to feed the meter," added Wheelhouse.
Speaking for the group, Nicole Richie said "We're happy to do what we can to help the state budget in these current times of economic distress and stuff."
Violators will be issued parking fines for not paying the proper usage fee.
