Following widespread condemnation and walk-outs by Aussie audiences during her 'Circus' tour because she was miming and that big-screens malfunctioned, Britney Spears has gone into hiding in tha hope that the clamour will eventually tail off.
Spears is reported to be 'upset and confused' by the hostile reception she has received down under. An associate told us that she couldn't understand why she should be crucified for miming, when Cheryl Cole did the same thing on the X-Factor and was rewarded with a number one single and mass adulation.
We were told that Britney is looking good, and that the miming was a necessary evil because Britney couldn't possibly dance up a storm and sing at the same time.
The last thing we learned concerning Britney's whereabouts were that she had disappeared into the outback to survive on a diet of maggoty grubs and possibly shave her head in desperation again.
