image for Jade Goody News: Spoof Critics Attacked By Other Spoof Critics
Ivory Tower? Control Tower?

There was a further twist in the Jade Goody Saga today, as writers on a satirical news website 'crossed swords' over, what it is claimed has been, a relentless invasion of the ex-Big Brother housemate's private life, and severe case of defamation of her character.

The incident occurred on TheSpoof.com, with writers who had initially lambasted the cynical media manipulation practised by Goody and her publicist, Max Clifford, coming under fire from other, more sympathetic souls.

One writer, Harold Meaner, told us:

"I just tell it as I see it. Nobody can argue with the way I see it, because the way I see it, is the way I see it. Fuck off."

But others have criticised the way he sees it, and stories have surfaced which appear to be highly critical of the way the critics have criticised Goody.

One writer, the mucky duck, has published a whole series of lame pieces about those who write about Jade in a derogatory fashion, with several more voicing their revulsion in the site's forums.

The criticism isn't universal however. Top Spoof writer,
BuckwheatsButt, himself criticised for his 'Man With World's Largest Penis' stories, wrote:

"I really haven't a clue who Jane Goody is and what she's accomplished that forces her to be in the forefront of popular opinion."

Wise words, indeed, and ones we would all do extremely well to remember as we sit up there in our ivory towers.

Make Mister Meaner's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)
