Seinfeld: Most Viewers Cup Of Tea!

Jerry Seinfeld is apparently returning to NBC as producer of a comic reality series where celebrities and a referee try to help squabbling couples make peace and save a few marriages.

That's the good news for Seinfeld's fans.

The bad news? Seinfeld said he has no plans to step in front of the cameras for "The Marriage Ref" or, for that matter, to ever star in a television series again.

"I'm 54 year's old. This is a young man's game," said Seinfeld. "Nothing could surpass the experience I had with the old show."

That would be "Seinfeld," of course, the sitcom that ended its nine-year run in 1998, the biggest part of NBC's so-called golden era. The fourth-place network has since fallen on hard times, and jumped at the chance to welcome back one of its top names.

"If this works as well as we think, we'll do four more reality shows", stated one NBC exec.

Also proposed is a reality show "Black/White Ref " concerning racial issues with Michael Richards and co-hosts Jessie Jackson and Rush Limbaugh.

The "Dance Ref" with Julia Louis Dreyfus.

The "Parental Ref" with Jason Alexander.

"The Post Office Shootings Ref" with Wayne Knight.

NBC says to stay tuned for "The Marriage Ref" in the near future and news about the other four reality shows.
