Yes, I know the guitar solo is my cue for wittering and banter

A new album is set to be released for the Christmas Market, which features BBC Radio 2's playlist, with DJ Terry Wogan speaking during the introduction, during the guitar solo, and sometimes only playing a 30 second snippet of songs, before dropping in some erroneous point about last nights TV.

Terry Wogan said: 'I am looking forward to recording this album. I often felt that the Beatles songs needed a soft Irish drone over their best bits, or the Rolling Stones would work better with little old me. I am particularly looking forward to discussing last night's episode of Casualty over KT Tunstall's new song, or maybe discussing the new PD James mystery while James Blunt squawks about something being beautiful. I have high hopes for this album being a best seller at Christmas'

The success or otherwise of Wogan's album may well lead to other albums of a similar nature coming out in the New Year. These include Michael Parkinson's 'My taste in light jazz, with a cricket Score backing' or even the eagerly anticipated Dave Lee Travis's 'The Hairy Cornflakes brand new Indie album, where I guide you through the songs of Muse, Travis, Coldplay, and Joy Division.

Make Ben Macnair's day - give this story five thumbs-up (there's no need to register, the thumbs are just down there!)

The story above is a satire or parody. It is entirely fictitious.
